The Beach Emergency Evacuation Light System (BEELSTM) is a first-of-its-kind, award-winning emergency evacuation system designed specifically for beaches, waterfronts, and open public spaces.
Launched in 2019 at Torrance Beach, California, BEELS leverages both manual and cloud-based system applications to assist lifeguards and public safety personnel in issuing real-time evacuation orders with speed, clarity, and consistency.
The system is custom-designed to integrate into existing beach infrastructure, including lifeguard towers, restrooms, piers, and access points, and can be adapted to beaches of any size or layout.
How BEELS Works
BEELS combines specially engineered, environmentally treated high-intensity LED lighting with clear, intelligible audio loudspeakers to ensure alerts reach all beachgoers—regardless of hearing ability or environmental conditions.
